Today I want to share with you a tool that has been extremely helpful if you are a multi-passionate entrepreneur and mom who loves to create and build things and her own business. This tool helps create clarity amid all the chaos and the million ideas that come up every day.
If you don’t give your ideas a place to go, they will quietly run your day. Especially if you are a multi-passionate mom, you have these ideas too. Sometimes it feels impossible to create a path forward through all these ideas. They spark excitement, but they can make it tricky to build a sustainable business.

ToggleWhat Are Morning Pages?
I have been doing The Artist’s Way, a book and program by Julia Cameron. Even though it’s called The Artist’s Way, it’s not just for people who consider themselves creative or artists. It helps you connect with a different stream of consciousness for yourself, whoever you are.
Morning pages are one of the tools she recommends everyone do every day. The idea is simple: you handwrite three pages every morning in long form, stream of consciousness, writing whatever comes to your mind. You don’t edit or censor yourself, and the pages are private.
Sometimes I write two pages instead of three. Sometimes they happen later in the day. That’s okay. You have to be compassionate with yourself and give yourself grace when you can’t make it work.
The Early Struggle
When I started, I complained a lot on the first pages, wondering what I was doing, feeling it was useless. But over time, the pages started to give me release. They made me calmer, reduced anxiety, and helped reduce negative self-talk.
Morning pages help uncover hidden insights, fears, and thoughts that you might not have been aware of before because you report back to yourself every day. Each day feels different. Some days are strategic and focused; other days are emotional. It creates balance in your emotional system and lets you release feelings.
How Morning Pages Support Creativity
After consistent use, you start to get into a flow with yourself and higher consciousness. Morning pages maximize fresh ideas and new thoughts. They also build a habit. For mums, this is the first thing you do for yourself — a small achievement at the start of the day.
How Morning Pages Help Entrepreneurs
Morning pages give multi-passionate women entrepreneurs a structured way to clear scattered thoughts. They help you channel multiple interests and competing passions into more focused action.
For multi-passionate mums, this is important because we often juggle:
- Coaching
- Content creation
- Product launches
- Freelance work or agency clients
- Strategy and project management
- Morning pages remove the anxiety of so many tasks, and sometimes they even serve as a to-do list for the day. Writing in this way creates flow and frees cognitive space for creative and strategic decisions.
Building Focus From Many Ideas
This unfiltered writing helps generate new ideas. It can spark unexpected connections between passions and innovative ideas or business strategies. Writing daily helps entrepreneurs take bolder risks, manage self-doubt, and prioritize what is important, especially when working solo or juggling multiple projects.
Morning pages help align scattered energy so that your multi-potentiality becomes a strength rather than a distraction.
Background: The Artist’s Way (1992) introduced Morning Pages – three pages of longhand writing each morning, as a creative and clarity-building exercise. It has become widely used among writers and creative thinkers.
Morning journaling works through three mechanisms: it externalizes internal experience, reducing cognitive load and creating distance between stimulus and response. Over time, repeated entries turn scattered thoughts into recognizable patterns, allowing awareness to replace reactivity. The benefit comes from accumulation, not from any single entry.
Final Thoughts – key learnings
This clarity tool has been immensely helpful to me. It has created clarity, reduced anxiety, and allowed me to build a sustainable business path while being a multi-passionate mum.
Thank you for listening and showing up for yourself. I hope you find Morning Pages as valuable as I have.
